Girls Classic Season Description
The Classic Season is an opportunity for players from 1st grade through 8th
to learn to love the game of lacrosse.
The season consists of 8 games in which we split between home and away (travel) games to nearby town programs. There are no standings kept, and no league championships or playoffs. We field all players as equally as possible with the goal of teaching the sport and providing a fun experience for all involved. We are determined to provide kids with an outlet that has not been swept up in the pressure-filled, win-at-all-cost mania in sports today.
At the end of the season, there is a jamboree hosted by MYL in which programs from across the state will come together to play multiple games to celebrate the season.
The Classic level is for all levels of experience, promotes team play, and is coached by volunteers from within the program.
Required Equipment:
Stick, eye protection/goggles, mouth guard. Sticks and eye protection are available (on loan via scholarship) through us. Please let us know if you would like assistance with equipment for the season.

A new jersey will be required for Classic 2026 season as we transition to new ones. You will order the jersey directly from our team store, and they will be shipped directly to you.
Cost:
Grade 1/2 - Total of $165 per player for the season of which $45 is for insurance through MYL. The remainder is for our town field use fee, league fees, paid referees and general equipment costs.
Grades 3/4, 5/6, 7/8 - Total of $265 per player for the season of which $45 is for insurance through MYL. The remainder is for our town field use fee, league fees, paid referees and general equipment costs.
More information on MYL member benefits is available here
Eligibility:
Age groups are determined by the grade the child attends during the season. We believe in fair play for all children and do not permit registering for an age group based on experience.
